Disability - Bordeaux Montaigne University v1.2

Accessibility and Disability

Accessibility at the university

All university buildings have disabled access. Many modifications have been carried out in order to facilitate disabled access for students with mobility impairments, including the insertion of lifts and inclined planes. The same is true for all sanitary facilities.

Student support and adjustment of studies

The mission of the Disability Services at Bordeaux Montaigne University, known as “Pôle Handicap”, is to welcome and support disabled students throughout their studies.

The team ensures that, if a student is disabled or has an incapacitating illness, his or her specific, temporary, and permanent needs are monitored and followed up on.

The team's work revolves around the following three key axes: working with go-to people in secondary education to prepare the arrival of disabled students at the university; welcoming and supporting disabled students throughout their university career; and helping disabled students to prepare for their professional insertion.

For further information on the possible adjustment of studies, consult the Disability section of the student website.
